Any manager-subordinate relationship can be successful if each participant does the best they can to earn the trust and respect of the other.
One of the keys to success is allowing the leader to lead.
Do the best you can to help them make the right decision, even if they do not always listen.
Don't pass up the opportunity to learn from your boss's mistakes.
The reason they lead is that they are not afraid to take a chance.
As a fiercely loyal employee it is a huge disappointment to loose a good manager and friend.
